First and foremost, we should state that the idea of this site bears no negative meaning. In fact, the concept of this site was born when two co-workers bonded over the on-going list of mental and emotional health issues they found themselves facing in the daily grind. Isolation turned into friendship and they decided to create a community where those who found themselves in similar circumstances could access resources and gain a fresh perspective to navigate living in La La Land.
One mental breakdown at a time.
So that brings us to the now. Hi! We are Ashley & Caitlin (that’s us in the picture above). We want to start an honest and open conversation about our experience living in Los Angeles. This includes (but does not limit) exploring different ways to deal with all those fun feelings every millennial finds themselves facing at one point or another.
Also should probably state that in no way are we experts or certified to help with mental and emotional health as neither of us were smart enough to go to Med school like our parents suggested. BUT we do hope that through reading and engaging with Lonely LA, you’ll find the following: some solace, pseudo therapy that is probably cheaper than what you’re being charged in Beverly Hills, and most importantly…community.
So again, welcome and know that you’re not alone anymore.
